Please join us at 5:40 PM on TUES. NOV 18 for the next session of Inside the Writers House: Nightmare Edition, when Writers House instructor Alex Dawson talks with CULLEN BUNN (Harrow County) and P. Djèlí CLARK (Ring Shout).
CULLEN BUNN is The New York Times Bestselling writer of creator-owned comic books such as The Sixth Gun, Bone Parish, The Damned, Regression, The Ghoul Next Door, Basilisk, Deluge, The Empty Man, which was turned into a major motion picture, and Harrow County, which Mike Mignola (Hellboy) called "a rare thing—both wonderfully charming and genuinely disturbing" and Michael Chabon (The Adventures of Kavalier and Clay) labelled "a classic!" Cullen has written for all major comic publishers, including Marvel, DC, Image, and Dark Horse. He has fought for his life against mountain lions (I kid you not) and once performed on stage as the World’s Youngest Hypnotist (!).
P. Djèlí CLARK was raised mostly in Houston, but spent part of his childhood in Trinidad and Tobago, the homeland of his parents. He is the author of the novel A Master of Djinn and the novellas The Black God’s Drums, The Haunting of Tram Car 015, and Ring Shout, a New York Times "Editor's Choice Pick," named "Best of the Year" by NPR, Library Journal, and Washington Post, among others; it has been called "fantastically fun" (Victor LaValle) and "a brutal and thrilling triumph of the imagination" (New York Times). He has won the Nebula, Locus, and Alex Awards and been nominated for the Hugo, World Fantasy, and Sturgeon Awards. His stories have appeared in venues such as Tor.com, Daily Science Fiction, Heroic Fantasy Quarterly, Apex, Lightspeed, and Beneath Ceaseless Skies. He is also a founding member of FIYAH Magazine of Black Speculative Fiction and a reviewer at Strange Horizons.
